O Little Town Of Stress Headaches

Busy, busy, busy. I dunno how much I'll get around to posting before the holidays... my job actually turns a bit nightmarish these couple of weeks every year. Hard to reconcile with the usual lackadaisical pace, I know. But there it is.

So... on my mind, besides gay cowboys and large apes, is this looming transit strike here in NYC. With my leg still all gimped-out in a cast (though it is better, thanks for asking), there isn't really much of a chance I'll be walking to work tomorrow if the strike does happen. Not to mention that we're supposed to get some sort of shit-storm of ice on top of that.

But getting to work tomorrow, or not, is not my main worry with regards to the strike. What I'm worried about is I just made a list of Christmas shopping I need to do, and, hmm, what's that, I STILL HAVE EVERYONE TO BUY FOR... except one person. I've already finished with the boyfriend's gifts, he was shockingly easy this year. But everyone else? LOOMING LIKE A NIGHTMARE.

Sigh. I would've done some shopping last weekend but the leg was bothering me more then. It's not really going to be easy hobbling around this weekend either, but I'd be able to manage it better.

If, ya know, there are running subways and the entire city isn't a ball of ice.

Good grief. Well, looks like everyone's getting a kiss on the cheek for Christmas. Yay, happy holidays!
