Kong is here! Cue dramatic chest-thumping!
I'm pretty damned excited to see it, but with the exhausting schedule I've had this week, not to mention I've had to manage said exhausting schedule with a gimp leg, I'm not gonna see the film until Saturday. The quaint fact of a night with nothing to do tonight for the first time since last Thursday is making me giddy.
My pal Sean got to see the film last evening, and he's reviewed it at his blog, and his review's made me more excited than any other that I've read because Sean and I both share an adoration of horror film and Sean says that "Once again Jackson proves he's a horror director in blockbuster director's clothing" and that the film is "a ton of fun at the movies, an all-time-great adventure flick, and oh yeah, genuinely chilling horror." Yippee!
At my office Xmas party last evening I got to talk to a couple other friends that have already seen the film, as well, and they both said that, knowing me, I'm going to eat up this movie like... oh, something I eat a lot of and love. Like chocolate. Let's say I'm gonna eat it up like chocolate. Okay, they actually just said I'd like it a lot, I tried to add my own spicy spin but, like I said, office Xmas party last night with all the open bar that entails and my lil' ol' brain doesn't much like the whole "think" thing right now. So chocolate it is. Yum.
