On the one hand I feel bad that it took these photos from Anthem Magazine of Jonathan Tucker being his hot damn self to make me remember that his stellar flick Palm Trees and Power Lines is hitting theaters today. But on the other hand... we have these photos of Jonathan Tucker being his hot damn self. So I can't feel that bad. The photos did what the photos were intended to do! I saw Palm Trees and Power Lines at Sundance last year and it's really a very good, very disturbing movie with n ace performance from Tuck playing what these trying times have come to term a "groomer." Palm Trees won Best Director at Sundance and it got several Spirits Awards nominations and it deserved 'em all, if you ask me -- it's a challenging movie, to be sure, but fearless and brave I thought, and you should definitely carve out some time to watch it this weekend. Tucker is always good, even when he's woefully underused, like in the last Charlie's Angels film.

I watched the film this weekend. It is a squirm inducing piece of work from Tucker and his co-star, and while it will never happen I think if should be shown in every high school. And Tucker's subtle and creepy performance is certainly deserving of accolades. I fear, however, it's going to be a largely unseen film.
