RIP James Caan

According to the person running his Twitter account (see down below) the actor James Caan passed away yesterday, which is a sad one! I am sure most of you will say The Godfather when it comes to his legacy but Misery will always be the one for me -- Kathy Bates obviously storms away with the bulk of the attention in that movie but I think he's brilliant in it too. Just now I can conjure up in my mind's eye so many of his sweaty, exhausted reactions to the horrors befalling him, and that's talent.

So what's your favorite James Caan?

Don't forget his son Scott was on Hawaii 5 O...He is good-looking, and hairy, like his father...There is a picture of Scott on the internet of him toweling off after a surf with his cock and balls hanging out...I would not complain...James was a great actor...

James was hot as fuck in the Godfather. I saw it for the first time about 10 years ago and jerked off to him several times.

Quite sad and a bit of a surprise for me. A couple of weeks ago I watched Queen Bees, a rather sweet comedy/drama from 2021 with Ellen Burstyn, Ann-Margret, Jane Curtin, Loretta Devine and Caan as Ellen's romantic interest. He was old but not feeble and I thought "Good for you, you're still out there swinging (for all of those great performers really).

I'm not the biggest Godfather or Misery fan (I can appreciate they are fine films but they aren't necessarily my cuppa) so my pick for a favorite performance is his work in the original "Brian's Song".

He was very strong in "Thief" and "The Gambler" but had a sure comic touch. He was quite expert in "Kiss Me Goodbye" and "Honeymoon in Vegas".

He really should have been a bigger star but from what I've read his attitude and temperament often got in his way.

Roller Ball, great shower and locker room scene.
