Fawn of the Dead

Cutie-pie horror-king (yes you should sing that to the tune of the Four Tops singing "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch") Josh Ruben (he is the writer-director-star of Scare Me and the director of Werewolves Within) is the sinister leading man in A Wounded Fawn, the psychotic break of a latest flick from horror director Travis Stevens, of whom I'm also a big fan -- Stevens made Girl on the Third Floor and Jakob's Wife previously. And A Wounded Fawn just premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival this week -- indeed it's available to rent on their streaming service right this minute. And hey I reviewed it, too! Click on over to Pajiba to read my very pleased thoughts. I dug this movie a heckuva lot, and if you don't get the chance to see it at Tribeca just hold onto your butts, it's hitting Shudder later this year.
