I Quit Smoking Twelve Years Ago Today

.
Every May 5th I celebrate my anniversary of quitting cigarettes in 2008, and I do it by sharing with y'all a great big gallery of photographs of actors doing exactly that, while making it look good. Damn good. But this year, in case you haven't noticed, is a little different.

Because of COVID-19 we're all trapped in our houses, and have been for... well, today it's 53 straight days for me! And because I'm currently cut off from my office computer I'm also cut off from the special little folder where I spent all year setting aside these smoking photos. Cut off!

One of this plague's myriad tragedies. Oh well. There are literally hundreds of photos that I've posted before for this series, so I recommend you get your filthy nicotine fix by skipping back thru those 11 years of archives. And when I finally get back to my office I'll change the name of 2020's folder to 2021 I guess, and surely by next May 5th that folder'll be so swole our lucky 13 years will be a smoky celebration for all the ages...

As always a big congratulations!! As a former smoker I know it's tough to break the habit. I like how all the pix this year have an isolated feeling to them. Very appropriate.

Wow. Why do you think anyone cares?

Tomorrow makes 16 weeks cig-free for me! And that's 10 weeks longer than I've ever lasted in the last 30 years. Congrats to you, and thanks for entertaining us!

Proof even Streisand can't make smoking look sexy.
