Just When I Thought I Was Out...

Oh who am I kidding -- I'll never give up on American Horror Story. Even at its worst its still a ridiculous brew of every horror trope ever imagined with all of the camp, all of it, and that's a mixture I'll never be able to resist. That said the theme for Season 9 -- which was just revealed to be titled AHS: 1984 -- being the Slasher Movies of the 1980s is basically My Bag, so I couldn't escape if I wanted to. 1984 is a little on the late side though, Ryan Murphy, if I'm gonna be that nerd about this sort of thing (and you know I am) -- a better year would've been 1981 or 1982 because those were the real meat n' potatoes of the Slasher Genre. Anyway now we just wait to see how many episodes Ryan & Co can sustain co-eds being stalked through the woods by a big sex-maniac before you know the CHUD arrive or whatever. (I give it one and a half.)

I'm predicting this years big surprise will be Evan Peters actually being in it after he said he wasn't.

Honestly, I'm pretty meh about this because this feels like a season of Scream Queens instead of AHS. Plus the last Apocalypse season was one of the worst things I saw throughout last year.

So they said this was going to be the slasher movies? Not Orwell's 1984?
