Good Morning, Wolves

.
When I worked on yesterday's post about An American Werewolf in London I made us a few extra bonus gifs of David Naughton's naughty bits because why wouldn't I, and so here I shall share them with you now. But first a quick poll:
.

Okay let's get back to Naughton's naughties.
Hit the jump for the rest...

Oh man, I was obsessed with this movie when I was 8 years old. My best friend's mom taped it (and Stephen King's Silver Bullet) off the Movie Channel, where it was hosted by Cynthia Gibb! Pretty sure David Naughton was my first celebrity crush.

American Werewolf in London. Come for the Oscar winning effects work, stay for the male nudity. I also crushed out on this film at an inappropriately young age, my VHS tape developed tracking problems. It wasn't till my teen years that I realized why I kept rewatching certain scenes that didn't have any Rick Baker work in them at all.

I read that the director had the intention to include more shots of frontal nudity, but then had to avoid it when he found out that David Naughton was uncircumcised, his character being a jew.

"Ginger Snaps" for favourite, with the 1941 original in second place.

To this day, I have negative feelings about Michael J. Fox, for the disgusting homophobia of the "Teen Wolf" movie. From the film:

Stiles: “Are you gonna tell me you’re a fag? Because if you’re gonna tell me you’re a fag, I just don’t think I could handle it...”

Scotty: “I’m not a fag… I’m a werewolf.”

The "Teen Wolf" TV series, on the other paw, was one of the gayest shows on television, at least during the first year's series, which is the only one I watched all the way through. That insanely hot cast! And the exchange in season two, when Colton Haynes responds to a gay character who tells him "You're not my type" by saying "I'm everybody's type."

That might be the truest statement of the year.

Nicholson, Pfeiffer and Spader in Wolf. An underrated schlocky gem.

JB - I don't know how this is possible but I've never seen Wolf! I really gotta get on that.

Bill Carter - It's been a long time since I've seen the original Teen Wolf but I vividly remember its homophobic tendencies. I think I was just old enough to be affected by it at that point.

Agreed JB. "Wolf" contains a typical over the top Nicholson, Spade at his smarmy best, and a simply luminous Michelle Pfeiffer. Her final shot ranks in my top five of all time alongside the eclipse in "Dolores Clairborne." Simply put, Michelle Pfeiffer is the best special effect any movie can have.

This was on HBO all. the. time, and boy did I memorize the minutes from beginning for certain scenes in this one?!?!?!

May I also say that "Makin' It" by David Naughtoon is one very cheesy but catchy disco hit.
