Say My Name, Say My Name

.
That same issue of GQ that has those delicious Armie Hammer pictures we posted earlier this afternoon also apparently has this shot of Timmy! And far be it from me to separate my beloveds for too long. Call Me By Your Name is out in nine days, folks! I'm seeing it a sixth time this weekend, so maybe I'll have more to say on it next week as we lead towards the release. (I'll obviously have more to say - I will always have more to say about Call Me By Your Name!)

For now here's a quote (via, thanks Mac) from Luca on the AFI red carpet when he was asked about "the rumor of a sequel" to tide us over (tide us over until tomorrow anyway):

"It’s not a rumor, it’s a fact! I’m going to meet Mr. [Andre] Aciman in New York next week. I’m going to sit in front of a cup of tea or coffee and we’re going to talk about what’s happened to Elio and Oliver."

I can’t wait to see this film. It seems like it’s been a year or more since I first heard about it. Sadly, it’s not coming to the Bay Area until a few weeks after it’s premier. And of course, it will be packed in the theaters here upon its opening, so I’ll probably have to wait a few more days after to see it. The directors last few films were great, especially I am love. And you’ve now seen it five times? Jeez...

I’m so glad that this novel exists, the movie exists, these lovely actors exist, and Luca exists.
I plan to go through Crema this summer and will look for film locations. At a time so politically dispiriting there is this beauty in the world. Thank you for all the coverage as I count down to my first movie viewing, hopefully in NYC.

Saw it over here in Scotland a few weeks back. A truly wonderful film which I will see again for sure. Apart from being beautiful in so many ways in the watching, it lingered in the heart and mind for days. Beautiful, bittersweet, heartfelt, altogether lovely.
