Great Moments In Movie Shelves #112

.
It might have benefited the 2017 remake of My Cousin Rachel (the one with Rachel Weisz and Sam Claflin, which is out on blu-ray next week) for me not to have just seen the original 1952 version (the one with Olivia de Havilland and Richard Burton) a couple of months ago. But not as much as you'd think - I actually think they did a pretty decent job with the new one?

Better than one would expect anyway. Rachel Weisz is having some real fun (there's an entire film playing out in her aside glances) and Sam Claflin leans into his inherently vexatious nature - he might just be the Modern Day Jane Wyman in how much of a pleasure it is to watch him suffer. Of course...

... I really do prefer watching him suffering while standing around topless beside bookshelves to thoughts of Jane Wyman doing the same, so Point Claflin there. Hit the jump for several more gifs of all that, and a couple bonus shots off of his Instagram that are also worth seeing...
