I've been waiting for it to be Isabelle Huppert's birthday ever since I saw Elle those many months ago (here's my review) to use this bit of dialogue from the film for one of these posts, and here we are. A line like that is spoken and your brain just screams, "NAILED IT. One for the Lifetime Achievement Award clip reel." Happy 64, Izzy! In related news Elle just came out blu-ray this week so you've got no excuses now. It's one of the finest films of the year - having seen it three times now I fall more infatuated with it and fascinated by it on each go. It's one dark ride, and if you're lucky you'll get in real life fights over it. I have! Several times! What a trip! Viva la Cinema, and Viva la Huppert! (Watch this video here.)
