No Man in Town Half as Manly

.
I was going to hold off on posting these pictures of Luke Evans in Essential Homme magazine (via, thx Mac) until my yearly "Quit Smoking" post came around in May but firstly it turns out that they're too hot not to share as soon as possible - he must be disseminated, as it were. And secondly the first pair of pictures of Luke playing Gaston in the live-action Beauty and the Beast movie have appeared, and...

... I felt the immediate need to share them,
so why not just share everything?
.
I don't know how I feel about the Beauty and the Beast movie -- for one I think the character designs for the possessed furniture people are creepy (I literally shuddered looking at that feather-duster)...
.
.
I mean, Beast is probably my favorite Disney cartoon of them all - the one-two punch of Belle with her love of bookshelves and Gaston's Hairy Chest really hit a nerve! - so I'm pretty protective of it. Nothing I have seen has gotten me excited. Luke's soldier-pants are good and snug but he'll never top (so to speak) Richard Madden's Cinderella Bulge, and even if his ruffled blouse is good and open we all know he doesn't have the required rug to do the role right. These are the important things! An entire generation of young gay boys and their future love of chest hair hangs in the balance, Disney!

Anyway if you have an opinion, and I know you people have opinions, share it in the comments. Until then you can hit the jump for the rest of Luke's Homme (oh!) photo-shoot...

Uummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... a post mentioning reasons why you love Beauty & The Beast and the freaking library isn't mentioned?!?!? That was the beginning of my shelf obsession.

I'm worried about this live action version, though, and aside from the design of the Beast's servants, the casting is worrisome. Luke certainly has the vocal goods (can Dan Stevens sing? His casting as Beast is SO confusing to me), but I don't know about these pictures... the chest hair certainly seems to be lacking, as does the entire chest region, frankly. Still, though... those smoking pics.... WOOF. Way to butch it up, Noted Homosexual Luke Evans!

As if I would forget the library! ;)

That first picture is just sex personified, isn't it?

lol FORGIVE ME! It's just that the castle's library wasn't specifically mentioned - it threw me for a loop, as it is naturally the first thing I think about when I think of Disney's greatest animated feature.

Gaston revealing his chest hair is directly responsible for my gayness

He looks great. I think he's a good choice for the part.
