There's Your Oliver & Elio, Folks

.
Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer were spotted hanging out in NYC on Monday -- we scarcely got a good look at the two of them in one frame while Luca Guadagnino's film Call Me By Your Name (in which the two will have a summer-long boink-fest in the rolling Italian hills) was actually filming, so this is our first good look at the two of them standing side by side. This is not what they'll look like in character, of course - that movie's gonna be nothing but scrubbed skin and sun-tans and short-shorts and you know it - but you can kind of suss out the lay of the land, as it were.

What I most love about this obvious photo-op though is that it's the same sort of first step that heterosexual pairings of actors take in promoting a movie - usually an actor and an actress will be photographed together walking along an NYC street and in a few days all the gossip headlines will be screaming "HOT NEW COUPLE ALERT!!!" And they'll play coy with the media, denials from reps and what not, but then there'll be a grainy shot of the two holding hands in a candle-lit restaurant. Point being please please PLEASE let Armie and Timmy be going that route. I beg of you! That's gay equality I can live with.

That height difference, oh my god. This movie is legit gonna kill me. I hate that it's probably not being released anytime soon... I wish I could freeze myself and only be woken up when that movie is out.

Urh??? Doesn't that look like paedophilia to anyone? I mean one's just a kid and the other an adult?

Well, Armie is 30 and Timothee is 20.
