Quote of the Day

.
"It just turns it up to 11. It's just full-blast Blair Witch. It's really creepy and the last third is just crazy. It's just all over the place. It just does not let you go, you know? I'm really happy to have been a part of it... it kind of progresses the found footage genre a little bit which I think is really cool."

That's the director of the original Blair Witch movie, Eduardo Sanchez, talking about the new Blair Witch movie, which (I'm putting the homo in homonyms today) Adam Wingard (director of You're Next and The Guest) directed and will be out in less than a month. While not terribly significant a quote in itself I'm posting it to give credit where it's due to my boyfriend, who just last night was saying that he had a feeling this sequel would be following the Alien to Aliens, Wolf Creek to Wolf Creek formula, where the relative subtlety of the original film is tossed into the bonfire of cinematic kickassery. It would appear that's what is happening, and I think it's a good idea, and I would appreciate it if they came and showed this movie to me right this second, please.
