Wicked awesome news from the Museum of Modern Art here in the city that never slumbers -- Pedro Almodóvar, the Spanish Icon slash Iconoclast slash Maker of Movies, is getting a gee-whiz-bang great big retrospective come November! They're timing it to the release of his new movie Julieta, which is also playing the New York Film Festival a month or so earlier (we listed it among our five Can't Wait titles), so I guess we can expect Pedro to be spending a lot of time here in the Fall. I think the Autumnal oranges and reds will suit him just fine. We also just happened to name his 1984 movie What Have I Done To Deserve This one of our favorite movies of that year just yesterday, so clearly we summoned this series into existence with the powers of our steadfast devotion.
