First things first these fine photographs are coming at us via Men's Health UK (via this Tumblr). Surprising absolutely nobody, Alex looks good. Did anybody actually see Tarzan
this weekend? I saw several movies but none inside a movie theater - I
stayed home and watched what I watched from the comfort of my
air-conditioning.
Anyway the movie did sliiiightly better than anticipated, but since what was anticipated was an unmitigated disaster I don't think any WB execs are swinging from the ceiling this week. But the movie got good grades from audiences so maybe it will hold on a little while. Speaking of holding onto something for awhile, here's a picture of Alex with his stuntman Jack Jagodka that I'd like to get all kinds of handsy with...

That awkward moment when your double is better looking than you...

Movie was all right. Some of the CGI animals looked amazing, others looked like... CGI animals. Only a few decent scenes of Alexander without his top off. And even though Margot Robbie as Jane protests being a damsel in distress... she still plays a damsel in distress for 90% of the movie. But the climax of the film was delightfully bonkers. All in all, not a bad night at the movies. Certainly better than the plague of sequels that have been offered thus far this summer.
Wow, the stuntguy looks more like how I would imagine Tarzan would look than the actual guy playing him; his face is more rugged and he has bigger pecs (I'm pretty sure you'd eventually get those from all that vine swinging).
