That there is the first official picture of Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany in Stronger, David Gordon Green's upcoming movie about the Boston Marathon Bombing in 2013. (via) I've been doing a bad job keeping up with this movie - there have been lots of pictures of Jake filming around Boston while my ass is AWOL...
This caps off an altogether lousy several months for my Gyllen-obsession - I never got around to seeing Demolition when it was in theaters, either. That might mark the first time that's happened since Brothers came out in 2009. (I've actually never gotten around to seeing Brothers, if you can believe that.)
That there's a picture of Jake meeting with the real-life dude he's playing named Jeff Bauman, who as you can see lost both of his legs in the bombing. His image is one of the iconic ones from that horrible day. The film's based on Bauman's autobiography - any of you read it? I guess what he remembered seeing was integral to finding the bombers.

You never saw Demolition?! The movie itself was pretty bad, but definitely worth it for the one very brief moment of fully naked Jake. You don't really see anything but side butt, but still, you get to see his whole body and it was definitely more than I was expecting.
Oh god, Maslaney is SUCH a brilliant actress. Please let her also be running the marathon or something important and active like that. Please don't make her be the boring, supportive girlfriend who just watches her man do everything.
