Hippity Hoppity Demolition's On Its Way

.
We still have a week to go until Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie Demolition is released in theaters here in the US and I doubt they could release any more stills from it without giving us enough to make a flip-book that animates the entire movie start to finish, but they have managed to grab my attention with a new tidbit of information - the soundtrack!

The Playlist shares the news that the film's soundtrack includes tracks from a couple of my favorite musical acts, including one of Sufjan Stevens' best songs - "To Be Alone With You" off his 2004 album Seven Swans (which also is, for the record, probably his best album, although his latest Carrie & Lowell certainly gives it a run).

Plus there's an extended version of a song from the band Half Moon Run's last album; I searched our archives and I have maybe somehow never mentioned my love for this band here? That's insane, if true - they are one of my absolute favorites. I can't praise their two albums 2012's Dark Eyes and last year's Sun Leads Me On highly enough. Here's a video I took of the band just a couple of months ago in Brooklyn; you can see more here.
