Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

Videodrome (1983)

Brian O'Blivion: The battle for the mind of North America will be fought in the video arena: the Videodrome. The television screen is the retina of the mind's eye. Therefore, the television screen is part of the physical structure of the brain. Therefore, whatever appears on the television screen emerges as raw experience for those who watch it. Therefore, television is reality, and reality is less than television.

It is director David Cronenberg's 73rd birthday today, which begs the question -- where the hell is David Cronenberg? He's put out a couple of short films since Map to the Stars came out (and fizzled) in 2014, and he released his first book called Consumed (which I still haven't read, shame on me), but he's got no film projects lined up from what I can tell and that ain't acceptable. Come on, David! The world needs you! Viggo Mortensen needs you!

He has confirmed he has no film projects and that he is writing a second novel.

You should definitely read "Consumed." It's the most Cronenbergian thing in the world.
