"Could you just not breathe?"

Breaking news! Breaking news! This news is so broken I can't even give you good link yet -- Robert Zemeckis' dark comedy classic Death Becomes Her, starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn as megalomaniacs with regenerative super-powers and Bruce Willis as the nebbish caught between them (not to mention Isabella Rossellini as EVERYTHING in a cape), is finally getting a proper release!

The wonderful folks at Scream Factory are dropping it on blu-ray on April 26th, just in time for... I don't know, April 27th. Point being, it's always time for Death Becomes Her. And the disc will have a brand new featurette about the making of the film. Pre-order your copy HERE!

Damn! That and the original ending to De Palma's Snake Eyes (another Koepp script... it's like the guy writes endings that won't be seen) I so want to see.

Thanks for digging the info out!

The Amazon listing should be up -- I've had it pre-ordered for a while now -- I NEED the opening musical number from "Songbird" in high-def NOW:

Only movie I've ever liked Streep in because she relaxes and makes an ass of herself. She never seems to enjoy her performances. She's working too hard to make sure she's doing things right. She's busy watching her own performances, except in this one.

thanks for that link, mh!

Shout actually announced they were working on this a while ago on facebook. They were toying with the idea of making this a collector's edition or not because they couldn't get the missing footage. And they knew fans wanted all that. The special features do seem kinda skimpy to be considered a "collector's edition". But it's not like anyone else stepped up to put this out on blu ray.

So this is the official official announcement.
