Today's Fanboy Delusion

Today I'd rather be...

... hitting the ropes with Alain Delon.

Oh goodness, goodness gracious, look at what I found, you guys! A 1959 interview with Alain Delon inside the ring on the set of Luchino Visconti's Rocco and His Brothers! (See more on this great film here.) The entire thing's in French and there's no translation unfortunately, but that hasn't stopped me from watching it three times and I doubt it will stop you either.
.

.
Good grief it really must have been something
to have been Alain Delon, right? Bastard.

Insanely beautiful in the 50s and 60s. Check him out in "Purple Noon," which is an adaption of Patricia Highsmith's "The Talented Mr. Ripley." He plays Ripley, the role Matt Damon played in the more recent version.

He's still alive--he's 80 now--and, unfortunately, he's pulled a Mary Tyler Moore. He supports the National Front, a far-right political party, and had been vocal in his opposition to gay adoption.
