Channing Tatum is in The Hateful Eight

.
I hope to properly review Quentin Tarantino's latest soon (maybe today?) but first let's focus in on one component which is not, I repeat is NOT, a spoiler, even though the film itself sort of plays coy with him for awhile -- we've known Channing Tatum was in The Hateful Eight since the start, he was cast right up front, and his name is not just featured in the opening credits but PROMINENTLY featured. So I'm glad they finally released an image of him in character. I also noticed my favorite shot of him in the movie was sneaked into one of the recent television commercials...

It's somehow comforting to know that even a film-maker as seemingly hetero-centric as Quentin Tarantino cannot help but sexualize Channing Tatum. It's actually pretty funny, how much QT's camera lingers over Chan in his tight pants in the film...

I know in "theory" he's watching that "gun" but he's also clearly staring at Channing's "gun" ya know? Bang bang! Anyway I kept expecting Chan to tear off those drawers to do a dance routine across one of the wooden tables in Minnie's Haberdashery...

The movie could've used it!

I haven't seen 8 yet but I am none the less sure that I liked Tatum better in "The End".
