Alright, I need you people to tell me everything you know about the actor Massimo Girotti immediately. How have I never obsessed about him before? I'll tell you how -- I still haven't sat my stupid ass down and watch Teorema yet, that's how. I knew that would bite me in the stupid ass eventually!
Anyway besides Pasolini plenty of Italian Masters doted on his vintage swarthiness -- he starred in films by De Sica, Bertollucci, Visconti, Rossellini... basically anybody who's anybody on and off the Boot, he rode 'em but good. With his looks and body, he could fit very easily into modern cinema today.
His last great role was an elderly gay man in the very melodramatic but touching FACING WINDOWS.
Never heard of this guy, but I just got Teorema on blu-ray a couple of days ago so I'll take this as a sign that I'm making the right choices in life.
