Mount Jake

.
It didn't occur to me until I read the terrible news this morning about there being another earthquake in Nepal only to an hour later see the above new image from Jake Gyllenhaal's upcoming Everest movie (via) to put the two together and wonder how the real-world tragedies from that region might end up affecting the movie and its release later this year. I'm actually a little proud of myself for not having made the connection sooner, honestly. If that had been one of my first thoughts I might've had to step away from the computer. Anyway now the thought is here and now here I am wondering if the real-world horrors from Mount Everest will have an effect on the Movie thrills no doubts depicted in this film. I really don't think it ought to - we all ought to be able to deal with fact and fiction as separate entities, as adults. But I guess we'll see.
