Slow and Steady, Michael Fassbender

.
And speaking of things I worked hard on that nobody seems to give a shit about (I promise to put the brakes on the pity parade once my Sudafed kicks in) I reviewed the "Michael Fassbender in long-johns Western" aka Slow West over at The Film Experience yesterday.

Anyway I liked the movie very very much - so much I was able to review it without devolving into a rambling thing about Michael Fassbender in long-johns. Michael Fassbender in long-johns riding on his horse; Michael Fassbender in long-johns peeing while scratching his butt with his pistol. Or how about the ridiculously thick sexual tension between Fassy and Ben Mendelsohn, which they milk (heh) for every ounce it's worth?

Mendelsohn and Kodi Smit-McPhee were at the screening of the film I attended for the Tribeca Film Festival (see a picture I snapped of them down below) and Mendelsohn was actually asked about the homoerotic tension the characters displayed and he smiled the slyest of smiles and basically implied that Michael just couldn't keep his hands off of him. It should go without saying that I wish Fassy had been there himself to, you know, prove that.

Kodi Smit-McPhee sure grew up to look like Doug Jones. Creepy.

Oh, that film. I'm gonna have to watch it with the sound off a time or two...for research purposes.
