Didi Fancher: Talent is more erotic when it's wasted.
It's weird the gulf between how very much I did not like Cosmopolis the first time I saw it and how very much I like it now, right? All it took was a second revelatory viewing to change my mind - it was like all the little tabs and notches lined up and clickity clack everything slid slipped into its spot. Of course everybody pretty much agreed, even those of us who didn't like it and then did, or never did, or always did, that Juliette Binoche's scene was electric. I mean... she is Binoche. What did anybody expect? My favorite living actress is turning 51 today - happy birthday, ma mie!
