Putting The Sun In Sundance

.
I could also say "Putting The Dance In Sundance" for the record, because this is Greta Gerwig we're talking about and she is the sunshine that makes me dance and smile. So the looo-ooo-ong awaited follow-up to Frances Ha that Greta and director Noah Baumbach made was announced as a Sundance premiere yesterday; the announcement included that above first picture from the movie and also drum-roll please a title as last - the movie's called Mistress America. (I hope I'm not the only dick in the world to think it's maybe a little ballsy of these two to front the word "Mistress" given the rumors about how their personal relationship began while Noah was still married to Jennifer Jason Leigh, but well, so be it if so.)

Aaaaaanyway this was that movie they filmed right after Frances Ha in much the same manner, on a small scale budget and quick-like; it's been sitting around while they both went off and made other projects, but now it will finally see the light of day, huzzah. I swear that story-wise all we'd heard about this film so far was it revolved around "public education" but I'm too lazy to look that up and as of now we've got a much more detailed idea of what to expect:

"Tracy, a lonely college freshman in New York, is rescued from her solitude by her soon-to-be stepsister Brooke, an adventurous gal about town who entangles her in alluringly mad schemes. Mistress America is a comedy about dream-chasing, score-settling, makeshift families, and cat-stealing."
