I don't know how I missed this news yesterday - Deadline reported yesterday afternoon that Kit Harington and Jessica Chastain are officially going to star in Xavier Dolan's next movie! We've talked about this movie several times (once upon a time forever ago Dolan pined after Taylor Kitsch for the lead) - it's called The Death and Life of John F. Donovan and it's about a male movie star whose career begins to unravel after the gossip rags target him for a pen-pal relationship he has with an 11 year old boy.
The last we'd heard was about Chastain being on-board - she's a huge fan of Dolan's last movie Mommy (yes yes I am going to try to review that today; I know I've kept saying I was going to do so all week); she's playing the big gossip columnist character.
This was probably the "good news" that Xavier told us was imminent the other day, leading to lots of bouncing around in his underpants. Hey I get it - if I was about to hang out with Kit & Jess for several months I'd bounce around in my underpants too. And lucky us I think it's safe to assume that Xavier will make Kit the prettiest Kit he can be. There's gonna be SO MUCH HAIR in this movie, you guys.
