Jake Has a New Puppy

.
This picture was posted on Instagram earlier this week but I forgot to post it until now - we followed the saga of Jake and his puppies closely back in the day but it's been awhile since we've seen either Atticus (his German Shepard) or Boo (his puggle). And now here's this fella! Supposedly his name is Leo, so I guess Jake's moved on from the Mockingbird thing. (Poor Dill, ever unloved.) The picture was taken at La Colombe Torrefaction, a coffe-shop here in NY; I am guessing it was the one down in Tribeca since, well, since he's usually spotted in that neighborhood.

(That's a picture of Jake on the set of his currently filming movie Demolition, via.) I didn't realize until this morning that tickets for the play that Jake is doing on Broadway this Winter have gone on sale! (thanks JJ) We told you about the show back in July; it's called Constellations and it's a cosmic take on a relationship between a man and a woman - basically my guess, not having seen the show yet, is it's kind of a "Choose Your Own Adventure meets Sliding Doors" kinda thing. We didn't know who was going to be opposite him then but now we do - Ruth Wilson, who's been making a name for herself over the past couple of years with small parts in Anna Karenina and The Lone Ranger and such. I've always seen the possibility for me to like her hanging off at the edges, but I haven't gotten there yet, so maybe this'll do it. (Either that or she'll follow the leads of Dunst & Witherspoon down that winding tunnel of despair that is my jealous rage, seeing some girl touch my man.)

You can buy tickets for Constellations right here. When I saw Jake do his off-Broadway show a couple of years ago I was in the nose-bleed seats so I just decided to treat myself; I am sitting front fuckin' row for this one. I expect my money's worth, Mr. Gyllenhaal. (That's code for ass, if that's not clear.) Oh and that image just above is a new one from Nightcrawler; a whole bunch have been released but honestly, as very very excited as I am for this movie, I can't really stomach looking at too many pictures of him in it; the weight loss is still too harsh.
