That's the picture of Jake on the cover of the latest issue of Variety; I posted a trio of shots from inside the mag earlier this week. He looks practically restored to his pre-weight-loss self! I'm relieved he isn't ruined like McConaughey; I suppose Jake was younger and it was easier to bounce back. 

Speaking of McConaughey, Jake's about to make a movie with the dude that snared him an Oscar (and is about to plunge Jake's ex Reese Witherspoon into the Oscar race with Wild) - filming begins on Demolition, director Jean-Marc Vallee's new movie, here in New York on the 15th. (thanks Mac) Jake and Naomi Watts star in the film which is about "an investment banker struggling to understand his emotional unraveling after the tragic death of his wife, when he meets another woman who changes his life forever." (We previously posted about it here.) Hopefully I will bump into the filming, Jake and I will have a rom-com-worthy meet-cute ("I got my chocolate in your peanut butter!" et cetera et cetera, die old together the end.
