Good morning, world - the great William Powell was born 122 years ago today! Everybody be on your classiest, wittiest behavior. Wear a silk robe or a smoking jacket at some point. And drink, drink, drink.

Were two performers ever more in sync then Bill & Myrna? Such effortless charm.
Seems July 29th was a good day to be born if you wanted to be a star in early Hollywood. Not only William Powell but Clara Bow, Theda Bara and Thelma Todd were all born on this day.
Agree w/Joel65913. Nick and Nora were the epitome of cool, sophisticated charm.
After the first "Thin Man" movie, the films were a little iffy, but Powell and Loy's performances were always a pure delight.
