I guess there must be something in the air - I didn't even realize today was the centennial of William S. Burroughs' birth til The Film Experience just told me, and yet I spent awhile this afternoon looking at pictures of Burroughs... by way of Jack Kerouac, of course. Sometimes you just wanna look at Jack Kerouac.
I'd never seen these see-worthy pictures of Jack at the beach with Peter Orlovsky, Allen Ginsburg, and a hilariously typical fully-suited Burroughs laying in the sand before. Love them.
How great was Ben Foster playing Burroughs in Kill Your Darlings? I feel bad I never wrote a proper review of that film; I actually liked it quite a bit, and as usual Foster was my favorite thing going on.Put him in a movie, he's gonna be my favorite thing going on. It's a proven fact.

Jesus, that Jack Kerouac sure was a looker. Seriously, google him, he looks like a Bruce Weber model...not Bruce Weber Abercrombie more Bruce Weber ruggedly handsome everyman.
It‘s Ginsberg not Ginsburg. And he is not in these pictures because he is taking them.
