Nominate Me

.
Listen I'm not crazy enough to believe that Greta Gerwig is going to get an Oscar nomination in the morning for Best Actress for Frances Ha. (Okay yes I do, I do wish it still, fuck you all, I'll keep wishing it even after she's not nominated, you'll never stop me!!!) But she could maybe get one for her screenplay with Baumbach. That's the possible nomination that'd make me the happiest tomorrow.

What nomination would make you happiest?

Nicole Kidman in Stoker.

No way in hell but a boy can dream. Also, they better not snub Sally Hawkins AGAIN.

I usually agree with you so I think I've got to see FRANCES HA again. Nathaniel at THE FILM EXPERIENCE loves it too. I'm obviously missing something.

I know there are a lot of people who love Frances Ha, but I can't say I'm one of them. Maybe you have to be a New Yorker to really get it. I wanted to like the movie, but I just found the character of Frances so COMPLETELY irritating. Watching it on Netflix, I kept turning it off 20 minutes or so. It took me several days to get through it.

Adèle Exarchopoulos from Blue Is the Warmest Colour for sure.
And Greta Gerwig is also welcome.
Maybe they could hook up.

Gerwig is perfection! Seeing her nominated would make me smile ear to ear.

But I'm just pulling for Gandolfini to make it in, since he could happen...
