When I noticed that today is the 51st birthday of the actress Tracie Savage who played poor dead Debbie, I knew I'd have to give love to her the only way I knew how - by lovingly detailing the scene where Jason Voorhees stuck a machete through her sternum. Happy birthday, Tracie!

I've probably seen Part III more times than any of the Friday films; it, along with Part II, are what I think of when I think of Friday the 13th movies. And Tracie one of the girls I think of when I think of Friday's girls. I just recently saw and was delighted by modern day Tracie in the nearly seven hour Friday documentary Crystal Lake Memories; have any of you guys watched it yet? if you grew up loving Jason it's a must, but you've got to be pretty die-hard. Like I said - nearly seven hours. I was riveted to the whole thing, but I'm psychotic.

We documented the death of the dude up in the rafters there way back when. Oh Andy. So adorable. Nobody deserves a machete through the crotch. Nobody! (But especially not anybody that adorable.)

(pic via) As they point out in Crystal Lake Memories, this death scene's pretty much a rip-off of Kevin Bacon's famous death scene in the first film; they even used pretty much the same set-up, with the person kneeling underneath sticking their head up into a fake torso. At least they had the good sense to give Tom Savini, who created the Kevin Bacon effect in the first movie, a shout-out in that issue of Fangoria that she's looking at!
