Quote of the Day

.
"I was kind of joking, but kind of not joking about MJ. And I was like, ‘What if MJ is a dude?’ Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It’s hardly even groundbreaking!…So why can’t he be gay? Why can’t he be into boys?

... I’ve been obsessed with Michael B. Jordan since The Wire. He’s so charismatic and talented. It’d be even better—we’d have interracial bisexuality!"

--- Andrew Garfield baiting me like crazy whilst relating to EW a conversation he had with an Amazing Spider-Man producer regarding the future of Peter Parker's romantic life. I know what I'll be dreaming about tonight...

Andrew Garfield should not tease us like that.

Oh, Andrew.. you ahve the best of intentions but you have to accept the fact that you're not part of a culturally ambitious indie series but a brain-dead money-oriented franchise.

That was just a sarcastic jibe at the recent shitstorm Michael B Anthony generated by saying white characters (the Fantastic Four's Human Torch previously played by Chris Evans) should be modernized by making them black...because you know, white people are so 1960s.

Andrew was basically mocking the "all-inclusiveness" movie-execs try to strive for by coming up with ideas like, "why can't Superman be a single-mother living in the projects" or "wouldn't it be cool if Idris Elba played James Bond?"
