I Am Link

.
--- Matty Fever - It's been awhile since we've checked in with our favorite hunk of Belgian beefcake - the latest word on Matthias Schoenaert's career is he might star opposite up-n-comer Alice Vikander in Tulip Fever, an adaptation of a book about a woman who has an affair with the painter hired by her husband to paint her portrait. I'm picturing Mattias shirtless and covered in paint, and I am liking it.

--- Suite Sam - Meanwhile Suite Française, the movie Matthias is starring in with Michelle Williams which films this Summer, added Sam Riley to the cast a few weeks ago and I missed it. Michelle always surrounds herself with the most attractive gents.

--- The Noir Age - Over at The Film Experience Nat's been listing his Top Ten movies for each decade as of late and today he got around to the 1940s, one of the finest decades for movies ever. I can't even begin to sort out what would make my own.

--- Space Pace - We already knew that Lee Pace and Benicio Del Toro and Karen Gillan were hired to play bad guys in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but we didn't know exactly who they were playing... until now.
.
--- Neptune Jim - Speaking of spoilers, this link is spoilery, in that it gives away a bit of the plot for the Veronica Mars movie that I kind of wish I didn't know so head over only if you don't give a shit (although if you don't give a shit, why would you bother clicking on it? It's a conundrum!), but James Franco has joined the cast of the movie in what will probably be a small part.

--- Demon Doll - I cannot for the life of me recall if I knew this was happening or not but now that there's a trailer it seems pretty asusred that we are indeed getting yet another Chucky movie. Watch the trailer for Curse of Chucky right here, which marks original Child's Play director Don Mancini's return to the franchise. The film's direct to DVD and out in October.

--- New Old Pics - Yesterday we got that surprisingly vivid poster for Spike Lee's Oldboy remake, and today here's a trio of surprisingly vivid yet vague images from the movie. I am really curious to see what this movie will look like now.

--- Final Girl Forever - It's been going on for a couple weeks and I'm only now getting around to mentioning that Final Girl has been on a posting roll again, shame on me - head on over for Stacie's takes on Ruby, Silent Hill: Revelation, Dorothy Mills, and a delightful love letter to the Amityville Horror series. Oh what joy it is to have Stacie Ponder around doing what she does!
