I Am Link

.
--- God is a Man - A round-up of pictures that Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock has tweeted from the set of his upcoming Hercules movie can be found right on over here, including a shot of his ridiculously ginormous hulking back in costume. He is so terrifying. Oh and as long as we're talking Hercules movies, Kellan Lutz is also making one and I stumbled upon that picture to the left there yesterday. Hercules, Hercules, Hercules!
.
--- Man Made Monster - Similarly I feel like there are twenty Frankenstein movies coming out too - James McAvoy has just joined the cast of the one with Daniel Radcliffe; McAvoy's playing the big bad doctor who makes the beastly corpse-man. Radcliff'es playing the Igor character.
.
--- God is a Woman - I got to thinking about Diablo Cody the other day, what with all the news about the ladies from her television program The United States of Tara - Rosemarie DeWitt joined the Poltergeist remake and Brie Larson has been getting raves for her new movie. It's been awhile since I'd heard anything much about her directorial debut, which was called Lamb of God but is now titled Paradise. Or maybe I just stopped looking after I found out that Julianne Hough had been cast in the lead - I'm really pretty much dreading that. Whatever the case a batch of pictures has been released over at The Playlist, and I find out the film's out in October. Timing-wise I won't be surprised if it plays the NY Film Fest.
.
--- Wes Space Story - Wes Bentley just joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, getting a much nicer welcome to the crowd than Topher Grace did the other day. Poor Topher. Anyway yay Wes, we love him and his scary crazy person eyes. And you know what, it just occurred to me - Wes Bentley could totally be the new Batman, don't you think?
.
--- Double O Melissa - Director Paul Feig is probably going to team up with his Bridesmaids and The Heat star Melissa McCarthy for Susan Cooper, a spy adventure a la James Bond starring the ebulliently deranged comedian in the secret-agent role. Honestly even though she keeps being maybe the only good thing in the movies she picks post-Bridesmaids (although Sandy had her moments in The Heat too) I will keep going because McCarthy is the real deal. Cheese n crackahs!

--- Read Meat - Here's the fourth and final part of Bryan Fuller's episode by episode look-back at Hannibal's first season that's been going on over at The AV Club all week. I was looking for something to read on the train today!
.
--- Too Shy Shia - Some Shia- centric stuff has been released from Lars Von Trier's sexy good times movie Nymphomaniac, including a brief clip and a picture, neither of which give us much in the way of Shia goods. Of course "Shia goods" is always relative, and ever changing - sometimes I just want to slap the shit out of him, and other times... I also want to slap him, but in a sexy way. It's confusing, but I think Von Trier will probably use that dichotomy to his advantage. He usually does.
.
--- Ring Ring - Final Girl's taking a look back through old person eyes (I say that with love - I have old person eyes too) at how cell phones suck and Ye Olde Wall-Mounted Landlines were the bomb in horror movies. Concur! In particular Stacie's re-write of the opening scene of Scream is spectacular.
