If you've never seen Jean-Claude Van Damme's dance scene (that turns into a fight scene that equally hilarious) in Kickboxer, head over here and watch it right now. I don't know who these crazy people are, thinking they could ever top that for cinematic worth in a remake. Not to mention I just feel sorry for whoever they cast in the lead - standing in the shadow of Jean-Claude's ass in the literal sense would be a most welcomed treat, but in the figurative sense, it's just daunting.

The Playlist mentions that a remake of Bloodsport was also announced earlier this year - now all of JCVD's movies kinda run together for me, I probably couldn't tell you which was which if you put one in front of me, but I have seen them all (at least of the old ones from the Eighties and Nineties) and I have the most vivid recollection of Bloodsport, because of this scene...

I can picture it right now - I can't have been older than ten or eleven, sitting there on the couch with my father, when suddenly every single nerve on my body jolted on like a flip was switched. BZZZZAP. I became a man that moment. Or I at least became a person with a life-long thing for big asses, whatever, same diff.
