--- The Rains of Castamere - It's been quiet up in here today because I've been totally Game of Thrones fixated after last's night episode; I've been scouring the net for reactions and recaps and all that jazz. I can't get enough! If you wanna read some interesting stuff I definitely most highly recommend (and do keep in mind all of these links are riddled with spoilers) this recap by my pal Sean at Rolling Stone - he has been such an aid to me over the years with these books and now the show; he just gets it, and makes it easy to get. Then you should check out this chat with George RR Martin at EW about why he wrote what he wrote. And finally, I want to include this quote from Thrones' show-runner David Benioff in this interview because I think it's the most important thing to take away from the episode for going forward:

"This is not about the epic battle of good and evil. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment."
--- Galaxy Bound - Benicio Del Toro has joined the cast of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - I really really really want him to be voicing the raccoon (partially because I hate looking at Benicio Del Toro). Also Glenn Close joined the cast over the weekend; she's the leader of the space police force. And some lady from Dr. Who is playing a villain, or something. (I don't know Who from Whoever.)

--- Forever Bond -
Not only is Sam Mendes re-upping for another round with Daniel Craig's
Good Time Speedo Hours (aka the Bond movies), but he's re-upping for two rounds with
Daniel Craig's Good Time Speedo Hours (aka the Bond movies). Daddy
wants a new Porsche. Also there are rumors that Penelope Cruz might be a
Bond girl, but it's coming from The Daily Mail and I don't believe jack coming from The Daily Mail. But she'd be a great Bond girl anyway.

--- Heil Udo - Have any of you ever seen the Nekromantik movies? I had to watch them in film school (sidenote: film school was awesome) and they're the sort of thing you, uh, never forget. To put it mildly. Anyway here's a chat between the director of those films and the actor Udo Keir about exploitation movie Nazis, because the world wanted to give me a handy today I guess. Thanks, world!

Penelope Cruz would make a great Bond girl but I'm hoping for Rachel Weisz too. What with her being Mrs. Craig I would think she'd be an easy get as long as her schedule permits. I had also heard a rumor that Kate Winslet may sign on for a film but that sounds like wishful thinking. Supposedly she and Sam Mendes have an excellent post divorce relationship so who knows but to work together harmoniously as director/star after a broken marriage seems a bit of a stretch even for the most sophisticated couple.
