--- Formula One - I found Paul Solet's zombie-baby horror movie Grace to be a little bit on the overrated side, but it had some stuff that really worked about it (breast feeding, natch) so I'm happy to hear he's finally, after four years, getting a second project off the ground. It's called Dark Summer and it's about a kid on house arrest... in a haunted house! At least that's what I gather from the somewhat vague description.
--- Quiet Boys - Martin Scorsese's proposed thriller Silence about a 17th Jesuit priest in Japan is something that floats to the surface every time he's figuring out what he's going to make next - well it looks like it might really be next this time, as Andrew Garfield and Ken Watanabe have just signed on for the leads. Andrew Garfield, working with Scorsese! Moving on up.
--- Post Slippers - Haven't read this yet as I'm saving this for my lunch break which I'm about to go on, but here's an interview with director Mark Romanek about a bunch of stuff, apparently including what he might do next now that Cinderella ain't happening with him.
--- Kung Fu Fighter - A big batch of new pictures from Nicholas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives are over at The Playlist, including several of Mr. Gosling looking very fine in a simple white tee (not to mention Kristen Scott Thomas looking insane in technicolor). And they've got some quotes from Refn too about how this movie fits into his oeuvre.
--- Vice Players - Have any of you guys read Inherent Vice? It's on my pile now that Paul Thomas Anderson's directing it, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Joaquin Phoenix is all set to star, and now it looks like Benicio Del Toro is joining him. I have a vague idea of what the book's about but I'm waiting to read it before I find out who they're playing.
--- End Delayed - I was lied to! There was supposed to be a trailer for Edgar Wright's The World's End showing up yesterday, was the rumor, but as far as I saw, nada. Malarkey, I says! Anyway here's a new picture of Pegg and Frost to hold me over. Except not.

You should read 'Silence,' the Japanese novel Scorsese has the rights to adapt, in the interim! It's great, really (more of an existential meditation on faith than a "thriller," I guess, but it has its harrowing moments)
