Real shame about the movie though. Saw a preview in London and it's a real disappointment. Though the effects are mind blowing and hugely impressive, the acting, script and complete lack of humour (which is essential for this sort of ridiculous ott premise) is abismal. Still, am sure it'll keep the gore hounds happy and make a lot of cash. Just could have been way better.
While he is hot, the picture is from a scene that isnt even in the actual film cut. There were several scenes in the trailers that were cut too that seemed like they would have actually added to the film. It was OK and hard to match the original but I can see they tried really hard to make it entertaining. I did have problems with the ending and I hope a sequel will work it out.
I'm sorry but did Evil Dead need to be remade? No.
