The spectacularly pretty and surprisingly talented Mike Vogel is one I've been championing for... well gawrsh it's been ages now. Looking back thru the archives the first few times I posted about him were in relation to Cloverfield in 2007, but I was well aware of who he was by that point thanks to that sweaty sticky tank top of his in the 2003 Texas Chainsaw remake.
(I couldn't not post a picture of said sweaty sticky tank-top after bringing it up, now could I?) We've followed him through high highs (Cloverfield, Blue Valentine) and low lows (The Deaths of Ian Stone, She's Out of Your League) and repeated stabs at TV that didn't take (Pan Am, Miami Medical). We were totally excited when we saw he was going to play a cop on that Bates Motel series...
... but now we have big cause for excitement - he's landed the lead in Under the Dome, the Stephen King miniseries for CBS. (Thanks Jarett!) I can't believe they're just casting this character now - the series premieres in June - but I guess they know what they're doing more than I know how to make a TV show, nuts and bolts wise. I liked Under the Dome (the book) well enough (at least until the ending) and I've been looking forward to the show - now I have even more reason to champion it. Hello, reason.

Re Mike Vogel and this: "We've followed him through high highs (Cloverfield, Blue Valentine) and low lows (The Deaths of Ian Stone, She's Out of Your League" In regards to his lowest lows, I would've mentioned Grind. We must never forget! Actually, scratch that, we should all totally forget that piece of garbage ever existed, regardless of how shirtless he was and how cute Adam Brody was in that movie. I'm never getting those hours back.
