"Dale Asked Me To Marry Him."

.
That is without a doubt one of the greatest reaction shots in the history of cinema. It needs the sound though! The shuddering "Ahhhhooooohhhhhhhhhhhungh..." that comes out of Kristen Dunst just completes the whole deal. Fucking brilliant. Believe you me when I get around to my 2012 awards she will be getting some serious affection. (As will Bachelorette as a whole. I've already seen it five or six times, I've lost count.)

I'm not so over the moon about the movie as a whole (though I did enjoy it), but I think I would hand the Best Actress statuette to Kiki this year if it was up to me. I keep thinking about her showcase scene near the end where she is just juggling 5 things at once, and I was just in awe.

She always be my Mount Rose American Teen Princess.

It's by no means a perfect movie (it just sort of drifts off in the last half an hour) but the highs are so high (literally) that I can overlook some of its more middling parts. But Kiki is my QUEEN.

I just don't get the negative reception this movie got, I've seen it three times and recommend it to everyone. Easily one of my faves of the year, flaws and all.

Lizzy Caplan is great as usual, but Kirsten just kills it. Lines like "You get paid for this and I'm just a good friend", "I did everything right!" or "that's when it starts" are stuck in my head. Love the performance.

The Panties are the highlight of the awards season. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Kiki should've been a slam dunk for a Golden Globe nomination.

I was not a fan of this movie at all. I thought it confused mean-spiritedness for biting wit, and the attempts at 'edgy' humor fell flat. I love dark comedies, but I just spent this one rolling my eyes.
