Sex Assassin

.
The only video games I ever play anymore always have some combination of the words "Super" and "Mario" in their title, so I don't know this Assassin's Creed thing from a hole in Lara Croft, but generally people online seem enthusiastic about this morning's news that our dear Michael Fassbender will be playing the main character in a filmic adaptation, so that's nice. I think we're all just generally enthusiastic whenever he announces a new project of any sort, since seeing him on-screen is to feel alive again. Some details via Variety:

"Michael Fassbender will star in and co-produce "Assassin's Creed," the bigscreen adaptation of Ubisoft's videogame franchise, through his DMC Film.

... the game is Ubisoft's biggest franchise, selling over 30 million units since 2007. A third "Assassin's Creed" game bows Oct. 30 and is set during the American Revolution. First two take place during the Crusades and Renaissance.

Plot revolves around a man who learns his ancestors were trained assassins after he is kidnapped by a secret org with ties to the Knights Templar, and sent back in time to retrieve historical artifacts.

"Michael Fassbender was our first choice" to play the franchise's iconic hooded hero, said Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Paris-based Ubisoft Motion Pictures. "Michael (Fassbender) is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor.""

That is exactly the side-look he gives Mia in Fish Tank when she spies him giving it to her mom. So wrong and naughty but the moment I really fell for him. Bastard!

Look he's hot and he's got enormous flaccid genitals hanging down one of his pant legs...right...now but I recently watched A Dangerous Method shortly after watching Prometheus and I dunno. To me all his roles just seem to be "Michael Fassbender in a blond wig", "Michael Fassbender in a mustache and specacles".

When I saw Viggo Mortensen's performance in ADM I realize what an amazing actor he truly is. When he plays a role, he gets lost in the part. If you put his Freud next to his Aragorn and his Nikolai Luzhin (Eastern Promises) and his Master Chief Urgayle (G.I.Jane) and have them talk and move around, you'd think they were completely different people, that isn't the case with Fassbender's roles and I think it's because he has this affectation in the way he talks that comes through in everything he does.
