It's official - Sharlto Copley of District 9 fame will be playing the antagonist to Josh Brolin in Spike Lee's remake of Park Chan-wook's Oldboy. We heard whispers of this a few weeks back; they've been trying to cast this thing for months and months. I think he's a terrific pick. I don't know if I've just been beaten down or what but I really don't have any righteous furor against this remake happening even though Park's film is one of my favorites. I'm honestly really fascinated to see what this crew can make of it. Hopefully Elisabeth Olsen signs on as is rumored; that'd be icing.
