I'd Watch The Hell Out Of That Movie

.
Marie Claire interviewed Anna Faris upon the occasion of her new movie What's My Number? (the one with all the naked Chris Evans in it) and it's mostly about where she stands in the industry right now and where she wants to go, and it's good reading if you love her like I do.

She expresses how awkward it is for her trying to wrangle up her own lady-posse a la Judd Apatow's stable of male performers but how she'd love to be a part of such a thing. She lists Emma Stone (god they made a great duo in The House Bunny) and Rashida Jones, amongst others, as chicks she digs.  And then she shares an idea she's trying to get off the ground, invoking not one but TWO of my most beloved characters in the process:

"Faris reveals that she's toying with an idea for a movie about a drunk, louche nanny working at a resort in Hawaii. The lead is inspired, she tells me, by Bridget Fonda's character in Jackie Brown. "She's like a big stoner, super-sexy in her bikini top and jean shorts. She smokes pot all day, flops herself down everywhere. I just love that," Faris says, nearly swooning. She's pitched the concept to a couple of producers, who, she says, bristled at mixing up kids with this kind of fecklessness. "I'm like, 'No, no, no, you don't understand, this is kind of like Adventures in Babysitting!'"

Elisabeth Shue plus Bridget Fonda for the win!
.

But this reminds me of that Jonah Hill movie The Sitter, which is supposed to be a raunchier updated version of Adventures in Babysitting with a male lead - and boo to that sex change - which I was excited about until I saw the wretched trailer. There's scarcely any Ari Graynor in it - she plays the drug-addict girlfriend who sends Hill's night off the deep end - to be seen at all! She better have a bigger part then they're letting on. I needs my Balls Deep, man!
