Have A Very Harry Weekend

.

Okay everybody, this is it! I'm off for the remainder of my birthday - did I mention that it's my birthday? - to do birthday-ish things, as one does on their birthday, three whole days of birthday-ish things - hooray for Friday birthdays! - can I say the word birthday again? Birthday, birthday, birthday! Anyway poof, I'm gone. Y'all use this post to tell me what you think of Harry Potter of course! I'll be seeing it tomorrow, but I'm sure some of you guys have already seen it. Share! (Birthday.)

I went to a screening of it last night here in LA that had a Q&A w/ David Yates. Even in a crowd of jaded LA-ites, we gave him a standing ovation when he came in. He was super gracious and very articulate. He said he usually hates 3D but uses it to enhance the story and add depth instead of cheap tricks.

The film's great and wonderful and everything you could hope it to be.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! May you grow more lascivious, outrageous and prolific with age.

The end of HP is finally sinking. I sure hope Rupert Grint doesn't disappear from the movies.

I'm so depressed that I just saw the last new Harry Potter thing. Need to rewatch all the movies in order/buy the overpriced box set when they release it. It's pretty much an extended series of action set pieces. Neville is a BAMF. I had to laugh at how many amazing actors are listed in the credits. This is the Daniel Radcliffe show for a lot of it, more than any of the other ones.

First, happy birthday! Second, I cried throughout that entire movie. EVERYTHING is beautiful in that movie. The shots, the acting, ALAN RICKMAN. Good god, nominate that man for an Oscar!

The movie is not nearly long enough. I want more action and more footage from the battle! Other than that, it was perfection :)

It was honestly everything I wanted from the finale. My heart was pounding so hard and I went total fan girl over Neville's big moment.

Also, Happy Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

already watched the movie twice, one premiere last week, one midnight screening last night and it is a great finale.

Of course, it isn't the greatest movie of all times, nor it tries to be but for a fan of the books and the films I felt really satisfied and very happy with how things turned out.

The use of 3D was great, yes they did went for the snake jumping at you but YATES did add a lot of [visual] depth to every frame, and it had some fantastic 3D shots; my favorite one with HOGWARTS way in the background and the dementors flying around.
