She Was Good For Months (Til She Lost Her Head)

Greg McLean made Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek is one of the most frightening films ever made. Therefore, if my math works out correctly, Greg McLean ought to have his choice of project, millions upon millions of dollars tossed at his feet, for whatever the fuck Greg McLean wants to do. Oh wait! I got confused and thought we lived in a world where quality was rewarded. Silly, silly me. No, let's spend 250 million dollars on motion-capture animated goblins instead. You're right, Hollywood. My bad. Anyway somebody cleaned out the cushions of their Lamborghini and scrounged up two million dollars to toss at Greg to make a new movie, at least.

"Deadline reports that Lionsgate is getting into the no-budget filmmaking game, with a new mandate to produce up to ten films per year for less than $2 million. It’s basically a giant lottery card with the studio hoping that at least one of them turns into a monster sized hit. Among the titles announced (which we’ll get to in a moment) is “6 Miranda Drive.” With Mclean set to write and direct, “the tale focuses on a family that unwittingly brings a supernatural force home with them from vacation. The evil presence feeds off their fears and secrets.” We hope there is a bit more to that logline because otherwise it basically sounds like yet another riff on “Poltergeist.” But if anyone can find a new way to tackle that ground, it’s Mclean."

Now the last we'd heard about Greg he was gearing up to make a sequel to Wolf Creek. I dunno what's going on with that, but it's not listed on IMDb at all. Anyway, my thoughts think that Greg McLean can do more with two million dollars than most. So bring it on.

I'm so sorry, but I have to point this out:

"..can do more with two million dollars then most..."

It should be THAN, not THEN.

Fixed! I'm a Grammar Nazi too, so I appreciate. :) I wrote that sentence as a quick add-on and missed that.
