Good grief I have stretched myself way too thin today - I've completely forgotten I have a dentist appointment later this afternoon! Ack! Hopefully we'll get the Pantys finished today as I'd planned but until then here are a few links...

--- Tom's Madness - While doing press for his scary spelunking movie Sanctum James Cameron admitted that they totally want to get Tom Cruise as their lead in Guillermo Del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness, and are actively working on making that happen. Well that's bullshit.
--- Poison Apples - Kristen Stewart might play Snow White, and The Film Experience has some thoughts about that, as well as some thoughts on the coming influx of fairy tale movies.
--- Lois Less - Apparently Lois Lane is not going to be the female lead character in Zach Snyder's Superman - it'll be some blonde chick. Alice Eve, Rosamund Pike and Diane Kruger's names are being bandied about.

--- Double Oh Fiennes - Since I just mentioned Bond though here's some rad news on the next one of those - Ralph Fiennes is close to signing on as "a darkly complex part." Yes please. We all need more Ralph in our cinematic lives.
--- Second to Last Stand - Stephen King lists ten stupid things he knows about the film version of The Stand being proposed. He doesn't call them stupid, but I am. Molly Ringwald is repeatedly invoked, like a demon.
---And finally, Low Resolution's started a nifty new series taking a look back at Oscars past, and how the nominations look to us now through hindsight. He's starting with 1990, and it makes me feel spectacularly old that I remember watching this show. Anyway I think we've all had a moment where we've seen that someone was an Oscar nominee and been all, "What the fuck!" Well this series dives right in there.

I think of her in The Dreamers too, Jason.
Often.
Related: If I wrote about women the way you write about men all the time, even *I* would think I'm a creep, and yet you just make it look raffishly charming. Man, you gays have it so easy!
Oh I'm totally just a creep, Sean, but thanks for thinking me charming! ;)
I don't understand the thought process behind a Dark Shadows movie. Who is the intended audience for this?
Also, fuck Cruise. Team McAvoy.
Dude, Dark Shadows rules. Now and forever.
I am shocked and relieved Burton's not giving Angelique to Helena Bonham Carter. Maybe she will end up as Elizabeth Stoddard.
