I Am Link

.
--- Who Do Udo - In case my culling of 15 fantastic quotes from Udo Kier's latest interview wasn't enough o' Udo for you today, I went and picked my five favorite performances by him over at The Film Experience. Writing it made me realize I never got around to writing anything on Lars Von Trier's The Kingdom which I watched in a spree back in December, and now my memory's too foggy to write anything substantial other than wow that was batshit and awesome. Which isn't substantial at all, but is the truth.

--- Auld Lang Et Cetera - I missed Kim Morgan's write-up of her favorite New Years scenes until today and it's a doozy - Rosemary's Baby and The Apartment and Holiday (oh how I adore Holiday) and Sunset Boulevard are all touched upon, as they oughta be.

--- Sing a Song of Slashing - Dunno how I overlooked this post at Stale Popcorn the other week, but Glenn wrote up a bunch of terribly amusing lyrics of all he imagines the music in an American Psycho musical could be. Love. Seems crazy to me that this still might be happening - I first posted on its possibility way back in 2008.

--- Audrey One - Something else I missed of Glenn's - an appreciation of Ellen Greene's always-deserving-of-more-praise performance in Little Shop of Horrors. After reading it this morning I got "Skid Row" stuck in my head and it's been there all day, and then I wondered what she's been up to...

--- Suddenly, Soap Opera - ... only to see she's signed on for a five-episode arc on The Young and The Restless, and there's a delightful little interview with here right here at TV Guide. (thank you Mac!) Pushing Daisies naturally comes up and she admits she cooks dinner for Bryan Fuller on Thanksgiving and New Years. (Where's my invite, Bryan???) (No, seriously.)

--- Gerry Pandering - This L'Oreal commercial is worth watching if only for the scene where two giant burly rugby dudes start tearing at Gerard Butler's short shorts. It's super duper brief and there are distracting subtitles in the way, but y'all can fill in the blanks from there. I surely did.

--- The Year in Blood - Any year-in-review that starts off with Vampire Bill and Bartender Sam's near schtup is a good year-in-review by my eye. Add in that picture of Werewolf Alcide there to the right that I've never got around to posting here and Billy Loves Stu gets 2010 right! Joe Manganiello is a cartoon.

--- Tee Vee Tops - As I said in the comments of a post earlier today, I've gotten downright lousy about keeping up with TV. Thankfully I've got a friend in Joe, who tells me the things worth my time in posts like these, Part 1 and Part 2, of his 20 favorite episodes of television this year. Parks and Rec, Fringe, 30 Rock, hooray! (Best to ignore the Lost mention though.)

Thanks for the TWO shoutouts. I decided I should record my musical tunes on my iPhone and send them to you. They'll soothe you as you go to sleep. stabby stabby.
